Welcome to Symphisis Yoga (the new name for Julia Symington’s Yoga for Life) where yoga is fluid, creative and flowing so that you can appreciate the beauty of movement and obtain the best use of your body. 

Symphisis means connection or joining and the new name reflects the deep connection, or symphisis, between mind and body that you receive by practicing this form of yoga. 

Symphisis Yoga has been developed specifically to help you deal with the physical and mental stresses of daily living.  It is connecting your mind and your body, which are often competing against each other and developing more harmony.  You will be able to unlock your potential and achieve much more in all areas of your life.  It allows you to connect your body and your mind in the best way to cope with each day.  Over time students will gain the maximum benefit from yoga to help with daily life. 

Symphisis Yoga offers yoga basics, general classes as well as special classes that are designed to assist with the debilitating effects of modern lifestyles and occupations.   

Check the timetable to see which class is most suitable for you.  For example if your neck or shoulders are bothering you – come to the Neck and Shoulders class.  If you’re new to yoga, the Yoga Basics or Easy Does It classes will give you a foundation to build on in the general classes.   The Advanced classes offer challenge in the Symphisis style as well as traditional yoga.

Symphisis Yoga is a peaceful, spacious and welcoming studio where  the lighting is subdued so you can relax and feel at ease.  You can practice yoga at a level that’s right for you and practicing Symphisis Yoga will help you with your life.
